Features
- Resist Cracking and Fading
- One to Two coat coverage
- Low Temperature Application at 5°C and higher
- Excellent adhesion
- Mildew Resistance – This product contains a preservative which inhibits the growth of mildew on the surface of the paint film
- Product is ready to use no other additive is required
Surface Preparation
- Surface must be clean, dry and free from dust, grease, mildew and wax. Remove any loose/peeling parts and prime with water base Acrylic Exterior primer. If surface is glossy it should be sanded to a dull finish.
- If mildew is present on the surface should be washed with chlorine bleach solution (20% household bleach and 1% liquid detergent in warm water)
- If concrete is new then allow for 30 days prior to application
- The PH of concrete should be less than 10, check with PH paper. If surface is not within the 10 PH and the large amount of efflorescence (seen as a white salty deposit on the concrete surface) are present then the concrete should be acid etched prior to painting (etching solution is 1 part of commercial HCL and 10 parts of water mix). Apply the wash uniformly then wash with clean water and allow the surface to dry.
- The concrete must be dry prior to coating (less than 12% moisture content) but if the surface is totally dry then spray little water on the concrete prior to painting. It will help the paint to penetrate into the concrete giving greater grasp.
- Latex base sealer or water base Acrylic Exterior primer must be applied first to reduce the exposure to alkali conditions
- If oil and grease on the concrete rinse the surface by T.S.P solution (50 grams of tri-sodium phosphate in 1 liter of water will remove most oil and grease) then clean with fresh water.
Application
- Surface must be cleaned first through the above procedure
- Apply water-base exterior primer to resist PHon concrete wall and for better coverage of paints
- Apply two coats of exterior water-base paints for good lucrative finish
***NOTE: White cement usage is prohibited mainly because it will not help if the surface is not cured. White cement will give no further advantage compared to Acrylic Exterior primer. White cement by itself does not contain good bonding capacity as a result it can be easily removed through water spray. The colour shade will fade and the glossy effect will be damaged with the use of white cement. For best result, water base Acrylic primers are recommended. They are showing better signs of bondage then the white cement. It will help better bond with Exterior Acrylic Paints and give good coverage of finish coats
Drying Time at 30°C & 50 RH
- Surface Dry 15-30 Minutes
- Tack Free 2 Hours
- Hard Dry 4 Hours minimum
- Low Temperature, High Humidity, Thickness of film, and Poor Ventilation will increase the dry time.
Washing Instruction
- Allow at least 7 days after application before washing
- Use mild detergent and cellulose sponge
